Galvanized round pipe—also known as galvanized welded steel pipe—is created by applying a protective zinc coating to the surface of ordinary welded carbon steel pipe via hot-dip or electro-galvanizing processes. Acting much like sunscreen, this zinc layer effectively resists corrosion in humid environments, thereby enhancing the pipe's corrosion resistance and service life while preserving its structural strength.
• Electro-galvanized pipes: Produced via an electroplating process that creates a thin zinc layer, these pipes offer relatively poor corrosion resistance
• Hot-dip galvanized pipes(HDG Pipe): Produced by immersing steel pipes in molten zinc to form a zinc-iron alloy layer, these pipes feature a thick, strongly adherent coating with excellent corrosion resistance.
